Update

Well obviously I haven't been keeping up with this blog. I found it helpful to blog about my exercise to keep me on track even if no one else reads it.  I haven't done much in the last few months of 2010.  I had a calendar on my fridge to try and track my daily exercise, but I think I did an average of 5 to 10 days each month of Oct, Nov and Dec.  Pair that with eating everything in sight over the holidays, and the scale is up.  My weight watchers goal is 140 and I'm currently at 146.  It slowly crept up week over week, so now I'm trying to exercise every day which I have every day this year..go me! and track using the new weight watchers point plus system.  I love that fruits and vegetables are 0 points.  We are going to the Bahamas next month which should motivate me some more.  Also to not have to pay for weight watchers meetings once I get within 2 lbs of my goal again.  I really felt like I did well the past few weeks since I have exercised every day.  Usually 30 minutes on the treadamill or Jillian Michaels' DVD.  Ally even joined me doing the DVD over the weekend which was quite fun.  I am planning on doing a few sprint triathlons again this summer.  If it weren't for desserts ie. the homemade chocolate chip cookies we made this weekend, I think I'd be okay.  I also think I need to change my outlook of things I "CAN'T" eat to things I "CAN" eat.  I really do want to eat healthy and not just lose weight.

So here goes nothing...

Weight Watchers Point Plus: 29 points per day plus 49 weekly
So far today:
30 minutes on treadmill Program 3, 4.8 mph high - I need to step this up - probably 200 calories or less
ezekiel whole grain cereal 1/2 cup _____ 5 points plus
1/2 skim milk ______ 1 points plus
banana _____ 0 points plus
1 cup graps _______ 0 points plus
12 almonds ______ 2 points plus
a few cups of hot green tea
water all morning
Amy's brown rice and veggies.  I did not eat the tofu and didn't really enjoy the taste _____ 7 points plus
raw carrots ________ 0 points plus

I would like to try and document daily, but I'm sure that won't happen.  Tracking really does help me see what i'm putting in my mouth.  really should track even if it's bad just to see what I eat. I looked back at my exercise journal I wrote in last year and worked out about every other day in Nov, Dec, Jan last year which was motivating to see.

Treadmill

Been awhile, but I really need to get back on track.  Did program 5 with max 5.5 mph for 30 min.  It's a start.

Run/Walk

Attempted to run this morning, but got a side ache and had to walk.  Really need to get back on track. How many times have I said that?

3rd Sprint - Chicago Triathlon

This felt long, but okay.  Glad it's over.  Each part felt longer.  The swim because it was a straight shot and no touching.  The bike because it was a bit hilly and windy.  The run because by then it was hot and no mile markers.  The views were great though and overall great race.

Overall time 1:55:44

Swim 00:20:37

Trans1 00:04:05

Bike 00:54:45

Trans2 00:02:02

Run 00:34:12

Wetsuit

Went to Lifetime today and did some weights and then swam outside using my wetsuit for the first time.  Will take some getting use to how tight it is, and it was a bit warm, but amazing because you feel like you are floating.  It was pretty cool. Makes me excited for the Chicago Triathlon coming up next weekend.
